Whooo suanning the zhang is super funny and entertaining omg :D today ms ning wasn't here so rachelW, me and zhang scooted off to the library to do SS cum Physics (yes I know they're like so totally related right omg!) so we ended up talking about affirmative action and meritocracy, digressing into physics and workenergypower, then a few rare moments of absolute silence to pore over the physics wkshts and practice papers, then exploding into random funny moments -.- zhang is one step to insanity :D hahahaa fine fine line between a lunatic and a genius horh? careful ah zhang xD okay joking zzz.

Life with 311 is nice (: Never thought it could have been this great at the start of the year, but I guess life together forced us to grow, and maybe we aren't higher beings (yet :D) or perfectly angelic creatures but never mind heck care, I couldn't have wished for a better group of people to spend 2 years with! -holds back the temptation to post my 311 mosaic-
at the end of the year when I post the 311 chronicles, we will just roll all over the floor laughing even though the floor isn't very clean and most of the time it's xinyuan sweeping (sheesh :D) ahahaha. tsk tsk I see all the guilty faces! AHAHA! GUILTY! okay nevermind soliloquy -.-

Seriously, fructose, all the stupid silly childish things people do when they seem to have nothing better to do. Don’t be such an astatine, what would barium happen to you if someone else criticized your institution publicly till kingdom come o_O like what the helium, it’s not that funny, actually not funny at all. And how unintentional could you be if you beryllium put it up on facebook? Wow I am barium impressed! Such astatines.

I may be a GEP student, but I think non-GEP students function just as well as me, if not better than me. And I am perfectly fine interacting with them, in fact very happy to have friends like some of them and seriously I don’t see the difference anymore, we’re just all mixed together. I wonder how people look at a group of people and their little minds move so quickly to separate the GEP from non-GEP. What’s your problem?
And I think those with the bad attitudes are weird, or maybe just a tad weirder than me. So there. We’re all kids, all eight-year-olds going for the same test, some develop more slowly but doesn’t mean they lose. So what if they don’t get into GEP, doesn’t mean you don’t get access to a uni if you aren’t in GEP right? And labeling the GEP as a ticket to uni is just plain unfair to us, it sounds like we can just BLEH (bu lao er huo!) our way through and be happy in a uni and do perfectly fine.
I don’t know why people are just programmed to see others as different. Maybe the system has already grouped us, and initially we didn’t group ourselves. It’s just that the very amazing system segregates people and we don’t get to interact. So, instead of trying to co-exist in a common space, you don’t even have a common space, so come on, want to try and understand each other? There might be somebody over at Iceland with the exact same name as me (okay I know my name is weird but I like it okay :D) but doesn’t mean I’ll know that person well, or even get to know that person.
But then again, we don’t have a choice. Our learning speeds are different, and there’s a need to separate us to facilitate learning, but this just causes unhappiness, and I’ll admit it, I’ll feel inferior too.
I want to understand elitism. Or at least how people see it. What I’ve derived from the little pen and paper conversation with esther was quite a bit to chew on. Maybe some of you have read our conversation, but aha, I think it was some fruitful thing though no conclusion.
Maybe I’ll really really consider taking up psychology.

a moment of silence.
alright, my holidays are mostly gone already, with today being the last day of week. and I don't know why physics worksheets just don't have that appeal omt I don't feel like doing at alllll.
Recently downloaded quite a bit of classical music (: am very very happy for www.emp3world.com it has provided me with much happiness (: and yay I can finally play the violin part of my piano concerto! :D haha yay so now whenever i get bored of the piano parts i can grab my violin and start playing the violin parts xD ohgosh violin exam seems so far away even though it was just in july this year... on a side note i never expected the results to be ____, thanks all who helped me (: especially Mr Ng though I think you'll never see this. Thank you for your amazing patience.
Yay I love Brahms Symphony No.1 4th movt! The opening violin part (cello as well??) is just so nice and lyrical and ... sweet. For want of a better word, yes. It has about the same sublime feeling as Rach concerto No.2's cello part, except for the difference in mood. But otherwise they both have that nice sixth leap from C to A. haha though major sixth and minor sixth have a considerably big difference in effect lah. But yes it kind of pulls on my heartstrings, wonder if anyone feels the same? hmm.
yawn I'm tired.

omt I finally relearnt how to cycle yesterday at bishan park, it's been 6 years since I last mounted a bike. WOAH.

Today went to macritchie, it has changed a lot since the last time I went there which is probably like 4 years ago and more- at least the part where it has changed... - yeah. Almost couldn't recognise it anymore ahaha.

I think chinese oldies are really accurate in reflecting life.
Only when you have truly loved before, can you truly feel lonely. And only when you have loved, can you get back those bittersweet memories. Whatever it is, you need to have used your heart.
I personally find that very true. Everything requires the heart. Of course yes, literally, your heart has to beat to supply whatever biomolecule thingamajigs we used to learn in the circulatory system. Yes but that's besides the point. You need to use your heart, to immerse yourself, to truly get one hell of an experience. I think that's why there's the chinese phrase 用心.
When you create music, you need to use your heart to really feel it, right down to every string or key, every vibration, intonation, interval. Without the heart, what you play becomes utterly meaningless, it just doesn't have that magic, and it cannot reach deep enough into ourselves.
Within a family, you need to use your heart to care, to share, to confide, to listen. You need the heart to be concerned whether dad would be home for dinner. You need the heart to help mum sweep the floor or do the dishes. You need the heart to sit down at night with sis and bro for a little small talk. Or maybe just to say 'goodnight'.
In a friendship, you need to use your heart for the patience, conscience, empathy, love. You need the compassion, the generosity, the sympathy, the gratitude. The heart tells you when to laugh, when to cry along, when to leave him or her alone, when to stay by their side. It also tells you whether he or she is a friend.
For me, the heart gives direction.
Why does one feel lonely? The heart can sense that no other heart's nearby? Or is it just that because we are made to be sociable animals our brain tells us we need somebody around us almost 24/7? Weird.
Before I continue typing in the language of Martians I should yank myself off blogger. (and leave you wondering why I even typed this in the first place.)

Yesterday was a special day.
During hall assembly we went to the mini-amphi with FT and CLET, and had some 'discipline talk' thingum. Actually the discipline part lasted for about 10min, with the front part full of acknowledgements, thanks and uh, emoing.
So basically our dear FT and CLET bought us ice-cream (the $2 jap kind omg) which totally drilled a hole in their pockets ._. and then we sat there with them talking about how we have survived 8 months together and it was really amazing (: haha i think so too, from that initial awkwardness we had around each other -it was like some kind of "unburstable" bubble- to now the 311 which is a class that goes for the fun rather than the prize :D -hint hint pinafore hint hint-
haha and then FT and CLET were like, it's our first year being thrown a whole class of 30 girls. ahahaha funny. and then they gave out a series of prizes to some of us, which was really sweet. (but hey copy 311's teachers' day idea xD) then denise asked a question which i think was kind of in almost everyone's head.
denise: "So Mr Lee, are both of you going to follow us up to sec4?"
mr lee: "-shakes head-.... uhh... highly unlikely."
311: "-in unison- huuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...."
man that was really bad. people started crying, I tried choking back my tears, and after the whole of that hall assembly a few of us gathered together -i think racheltan yvonne xinyuan me denise- and we were like omg you felt like crying too? i thought i was the only weird one here eheheh. Then we were all walking back to class with a few audible sniffs..
luckily laoshi was nice and allowed us to complete zuowen during hols, cos we all kind of were in the wrong mood for writing about rgs sec3 life in a qingjingzuowen.
hahaha i wish some of the teachers who took the video of our class singing together last mon will somehow post it up somewhere so we can all go and relive the moment of "class spirit" (: very interesting. I somehow didn't think it would work out so well, and now i'm proven so so so wrong :D

last night cried hard to sleep, until now i don't know why really cried so hard but i guess it's the sadness of losing teachers that have touched our lives? idk. hearts are difficult to understand sometimes. shrug.
